Want to get a good stretch and some meditation? Go out Marie Phillips Living, she has classes at Canalside and at Beaver Island throughout the week. I have never felt so relaxed mediating and stretching on a SUP board, it’s an amazing experience that will relieve all your stress.
SUP ACRO YOGA:
Looking to step up your SUP Yoga game to a new level and mix it in with some acro yoga, Dr Joanne Wu at Fit 2b Well will get you going! You should get the Acro yoga down and go to one of her events before trying it on a sup, she is holding a Acro Yoga Festival on Sept 4th.
Is angling is in your blood? check out Adventure Bound on the Fly and talk to Don Boehmer, he is a expert whitewater kayaker, and they have developed their own line of SUP boards for fishing.

5.) Beaver Island - Drift with current, paddle around the island, good launches.

As a active member of the WNY kayaking community, avid whitewater and sea kayaker, and kayak rolling instructor, the transition to SUP boarding was a great new experience. Its been an amazing to be surfing, watching sunsets, seeing the bottom of the lake and river, paddling by sea cliffs, immersed in nature having a great summer! It’s a awesome total body workout, improves strength and balance, there is a culture and community of people to enjoy it with, and you can paddle tandem with kids or even a dog!
